PoolPot Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 2026-09-15
Version: the eight-character code at the bottom of this page is computed from the text of these Terms. When the text changes, the code changes and you will be asked to accept the Terms again before you buy, create an auto-buy plan or claim.
1. What PoolPot is
PoolPot (https://poolpot.fun, "we", "us") is a website for buying tickets in Megapot, a daily USDC lottery run by a third party on the Base blockchain. Tickets bought here are pooled per draw: a pool contract for that draw owns the tickets, and whatever those tickets win is shared equally per ticket among everyone in that draw's pool.
We provide the website and the open, immutable smart contracts it uses. We do not run Megapot, we do not pick the winning numbers, and we never hold your money. By ticking "I accept the Terms" or using the site, you agree to these Terms.
2. Age and eligibility
You must be at least 18, or older if the age of majority where you live is higher. Lotteries and crypto-asset products are restricted in some places, and Megapot excludes several countries. You alone are responsible for checking that using PoolPot and Megapot is lawful where you are, and for any tax on prizes. We do not offer the site to anyone for whom it is unlawful.
3. Your wallet
PoolPot has no accounts or passwords; you act through your own wallet and are responsible for your keys and every transaction you sign. We cannot recover lost keys or funds. To act on the site you sign a free "Sign-In with Ethereum" message that creates a 24-hour session in that browser tab. We keep no server-side record of it.
4. Buying tickets
- Each purchase is one transaction: you approve exactly the USDC for that order, and the pool contract buys the real Megapot tickets in the same transaction. Either every ticket in the order is bought, or nothing happens and your USDC stays in your wallet.
- Ticket price, number ranges and draw time are set by Megapot. The draw normally closes at 17:00 UTC; the site stops offering purchases about a minute before, but the contracts follow Megapot's own lock.
- Numbers you choose yourself may duplicate tickets held by others in the pool or on Megapot. Quick-picks are generated on-chain and never duplicate a ticket the pool already holds at that moment.
- A confirmed transaction on Base cannot be undone by us or anyone. There are no refunds, cancellations or exchanges of tickets.
5. How prizes are shared
- After a draw settles, prizes won by the pool's tickets must be collected from Megapot into the pool. "Collect prizes" is a button anyone may press; the presser pays gas and, out of what that press collects, receives a bounty of 0.25% of it, at most 25 USDC per transaction — the rest goes to the pool.
- Everything collected for a draw is split equally per ticket: your tickets divided by the pool's total tickets for that draw, times the collected total. Rounding dust stays in the pool contract.
- Your share is paid only to the wallet that bought the tickets, only when it presses "Claim my share" or "Claim all". There is no deadline; you may claim any time and claim again if more prizes are collected later.
- Nothing is collected or claimed automatically. We may press these buttons ourselves but make no promise to.
- Megapot pays prizes net of its own fees and referral share. Odds, tiers and amounts are Megapot's and may change between draws.
6. Our commission
The PoolPot admin address is written into every purchase as the Megapot referrer. Megapot credits it a referral commission on ticket purchases and on prizes at rates set by Megapot (currently 10% of the ticket price and 10% of prize payouts), paid out of Megapot's own fee structure. You pay the same price and receive the same prize share as any referred Megapot player. Our contracts give the admin no power over your funds, tickets, pools or plans.
7. Auto-buy plans and tips
- A plan is a small escrow contract only you control, prefunded with the USDC for a chosen number of tickets per day for a chosen number of days, plus any tip you set.
- A day's tickets are bought only when someone presses "Buy today's tickets" for your plan. Anyone may, including you. To encourage others you may set a tip per day, up to the cap shown on the site; it is paid from your escrow to a non-owner who triggers a successful purchase, never to you.
- Escrow leaves a plan only as that day's tickets (credited to you at that day's price), as that tip, or back to you on cancel. Days with no purchase are not counted or charged, and plans do not expire by calendar.
- If Megapot changes its price or number ranges, a plan buys as many tickets as the escrow allows and substitutes a quick-pick for any fixed pick that has become invalid.
- "Cancel & refund" returns everything unspent to your wallet at any time.
8. Third parties we depend on
PoolPot depends on Megapot (contracts, draws, randomness, prizes, API and referral program), the Base network, USDC and its issuer, your wallet and RPC providers. We control none of them. Any may pause, change rules, delay a draw, freeze an address or fail, affecting your tickets, prizes or escrow. Our contracts are built to fail safely and keep your claim and cancel paths open, but we cannot guarantee services we do not run.
9. Emergency mode
If Megapot enables emergency mode for an unsettled draw, anyone may press "Emergency refund" on that draw's page. Megapot then refunds the pool roughly 0.90 USDC per referred ticket, shared and claimed exactly like a prize. We do not promise to top up the difference. Settled draws remain collectable and claimable as normal.
10. Prohibited use
You may not use PoolPot in breach of any law that applies to you, from a place where it is prohibited for you, to launder money or evade sanctions, on behalf of someone not permitted to use it, to attack, overload or scrape the site or its contracts, or to impersonate anyone. We may block website access to anyone we believe breaches these Terms. The contracts are permissionless and immutable, so we cannot block on-chain use, which remains entirely at your own risk.
11. No guarantees
PoolPot and its contracts are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. Lottery tickets are gambling: a ticket's expected value is less than its price and you may lose everything you spend. We do not guarantee the site will be available, that prizes will be collected, that Megapot will pay, that draws will run on time, or that the contracts are free of defects. Odds, values and estimates shown are best effort. Nothing on the site is financial, legal or tax advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we and anyone working with us are not liable for any loss arising from your use of PoolPot, Megapot, Base, USDC or your wallet, including uncollected or unclaimed prizes, stranded escrow, failed or delayed transactions, rule changes by Megapot, and any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the commission we actually received from Megapot on your purchases in the twelve months before the claim. You will hold us harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms by publishing a new version here with a new effective date. Each change produces a new version code, and the site asks you to accept it before you next buy, create a plan or claim. Changes never alter the deployed contracts, which nobody can modify.
